Ydiy Home Maintenance was founded in 2015 by André du Toit with a simple goal – to provide honest, reliable workmanship that homeowners could depend on. Starting with nothing more than his Bantam bakkie, a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality, André built the business one satisfied client at a time. Through hard work, attention to detail, and a reputation for excellence, YDIY has grown into a trusted home maintenance company serving the Overstrand region. Today, our skilled team of professionals continues to uphold the same values on which the company was founded, delivering high-quality painting, renovations, flooring, ceilings, and general home maintenance with pride and professionalism.

ANDRE DU TOIT
With more than two decades of experience in the South African property industry, André du Toit has built his career around a genuine passion for property, quality workmanship and exceptional client service.
Before establishing Ydiy Home Maintenance in 2015, André spent 12 years working as an estate agent. His experience in the property industry gave him a valuable understanding of what homeowners expect when it comes to maintaining, improving and protecting their most important investment.
Wanting to broaden his knowledge and expertise, André went on to study at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), where he successfully completed his diploma as a Single Residential Property Assessor. This combination of property knowledge, practical experience and a strong eye for detail has played an important role in shaping the way Ydiy approaches every project.
Since starting Ydiy, André has grown the business from the ground up into a trusted and established home maintenance company. Today, Ydiy has a dedicated team of eight trustworthy and skilled men, supported by three vehicles on the road, allowing the company to service clients efficiently and professionally.
André is known for being a perfectionist who takes pride in getting the job done properly. He believes that attention to detail, honest communication and reliable workmanship are the foundations of a successful business. His background in estate agency has also instilled in him a strong understanding of the importance of client relationships — something that remains at the heart of Ydiy.
For André, the business is about more than simply fixing or maintaining homes. It is about giving clients peace of mind, delivering work that he can be proud of, and building long-term relationships based on trust and reliability.
What started as a small business in 2015 has grown through hard work, word-of-mouth recommendations and a commitment to doing things right. André continues to personally oversee the standards of Ydiy, ensuring that every client receives the same level of care and attention to detail that has helped build the company’s reputation.
